This is only a short missive to the unprecedented litany of professionals who have resigned public office positions in order to join elective politics.
First, let me congratulate you for being that bold. Many of us are often cowards or far too cautious. Actually, the majority of us prefer the illusion often mistakenly called "job security; " the "ivory tower" mentality. But we now know that all these are merely part of what Sigmund Freud would have easily classified as forms of "false consciousness". Hence, there is definitely something to be admired about your particular courage.
