Our Signature Job of 2013:  a Strategy for Africa’s Improved Communication?

From August to December 2013, courtesy of UNDP Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), we helped develop the African Union’s brand new, Communication, Marketing and Advocacy Strategy expected to roll out from 2014-2017. To deliver on this assignment, we cconsulted with a cross-section of African Union’s 52 Member-State stakeholders and partners and successfully delivered an approved strategy in a record 5 months.

Retained as professional editor and design consultant for more than twenty (20) Health Sector Curriculum Documents, including: Communications Strategy and Implementation Guidelines; Proceedings of First National Human Resources for Health Conference (2011); Institutional Strategic Plans for the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board and the Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board; Continuous Professional Development Guidelines for Nursing and Laboratory professionals; edited Core Curriculum Guidelines for MBChB; BDS; BSc; Diploma and Certificate programs in Medicine; Dentistry; Nursing as well as Nutrition and Dietetics.

Retained as  reviewer and Consultant for the  Communications Training Manual for Senior Administrative Staff of the Government of South Sudan( March 2012); Strategic Plan of the Ministry of East African Community(2009); Communications Policy and Strategy Handbook for the Ministry of the East African Community(2010);  and Consultant for the selection of  firms to undertake the East African Community’s  Common Market Protocol program of promotion.

Retained as consultant editor for bank’s ‘institutional re-engineering’ Strategic Plan

Retained as consultant to research and write a paper on “the coverage of reproductive health issues in East African Media” (1993)
